Apakah Tuhan tidak mau aku bahagia?

Ada seseorang yg pernah memberikan saya statement:

"Apakah Tuhan tidak mau saya bahagia?".

Saya terinspirasi untuk mengerti apa kebahagiaan yg sesungguhnya. Saya pikir Tuhan pasti mau kita bahagia. Seperti yg Ia katakan bagi kita di kitab roma:

"What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, will he not with him freely give us all things?" (Romans 8:31-32)

(saya merefer ayat ini karena banyak dari kita menganggap sesuatu yg bahagia adalah ketika kita mendapatkan sesuatu yg kita ingin dapatkan tapi belum tercapai). Anak satu-satuNya yg paling Ia kasihi aja mau Ia berikan bagi kita yg berdosa, apalagi hal lain yg ada didunia ini? Kekayaan, harta, kuasa, dan kebahagiaan pun bisa Ia berikan kalo memang Ia berkehendak.

Nah sekarang yg perlu kita pikirkan adalah apakah kebahagiaan yg kita maksud sama dengan apa yg Tuhan maksud? Banyak orang yg mengartikan kebahagiaan mereka kalo mereka mendapatkan harta, kekayaan, pasangan hidup, degree, dan banyak lagi. Apakah salah menginginkan hal itu? sama sekali tidak. Kalo begitu kenapa Tuhan tidak memberikan itu semua bagi kita? Jawabannya simple, karena semua itu bukanlah prioritas yg Tuhan mau kita taruh. Banyak dari kita sering kali salah menaruh prioritas pertama dengan harapan mereka/keinginan mereka yg sia-sia yg sesungguhnya tidak boleh menggantikan posisi pertama yg sesungguhnya, yaitu Kristus; sehingga pada akhirnya kita harus menghadapi kekecewaan.

Kita tidak akan pernah bahagia, tapi kita bisa hidup dalam ucapan syukur asal kita menaruh apa yg seharusnya pada tempatnya. Tidak bahagia karena dunia bukanlah bagian dari kita, tetapi surga adalah bagian kita yg sesungguhnya. Kita hanya menumpang dan mempersiapkan diri didunia semata2 agar kita menjadi mempelai yg "sempurna" ketika bertemu Dia disana dan mengerjakan rencana2 yg Ia percayakan bagi kita sehingga apa yg Ia kehendaki boleh ter-fulfill lewat kita sebagai alatNya. Kita akan bahagia ketika kita bertemu denganNya disurga :)

Bersyukur karena kita tahu apa yg kita lakukan semata-mata untuk dan bagi kemuliaanNya, dan kekayaan, tahta, harta, pasangan, dll, ini semua adalah berkat yg Ia berikan bagi kita saja dan sifatnya pun bukan kekal sehingga ketika kita diberi kesempatan untuk menikmatinya itu adalah berkat yg harus dan patut kita syukuri tetapi bukan the ultimate happiness that He given to us.

so live you life for Him and in Him, for all you have is from Him, not yours.

Too Great and Too Wide

I am thinking why "A" thing suppose to happen in my life?

Why God put me in "B" situation?

And why God choose me to be in "C" condition?

I believe most of us have ever asked those kind of question in your life.

I personally ever asked these questions to God in my confusion in the reality of life.

I am trying and trying to comprehend what God wants me to be? what is His bright and the hopeful purpose as He said in Isaiah?

But I am finally realize, I am too limited to comprehend His thought and purposes in my life, so I will never know exactly what it id until He who the first one reveals it to me.

Our God is too great and too wide to be comprehended by our mind and our soul.

In fact, we are human who fall in sin. We want everything make sense and God's answer supposes to be beneficial answers for us. We are selfish. Whether you realize it or not, even when we keep our faith to God is just because we hope we could get something more from Him.

The answers is so simple, and is just one answer; it's all about HIM. Why I say this? Because He is our creator, without Him we will never exist. He has already died in the cross just because of us who is sinned. could you pay for His salvation? Nope, you never and ever can pay it off. so do you think we have a right to ask God more for our selfish wishes such as I want an happiness so I have to married, I have to get in in "A" university, get a lot of money, etc?? we can ask that. it is a normal thing but you have to ask your self, what is it for. is it for the glory of God and effectiveness for His plan in our life, or just for your own happiness and satisfaction?

Nothing eternal in this life. Don't let this worldly things make you replace His place with other things. God can gives it to you easily if He wants it, but because He loves us so much, He knows what are the things that is good for us. Sometimes, the things that we think is good for us, it doesn't necessary good in God's measurement.

to come to this point, it takes time. I take for 4 years to come to this point. is not an easy process to go through but it help me a lot to see God as the only God I can depend on, I trust and I believe in. and I also finally understand what paul means by "Life is Christ, and Die is gain", and also Philipians 1:20-24.
